Greetings from the President

Michelle Weaver photoWelcome to the web site of the North Carolina Association of Elementary Educators!

The North Carolina Association of Elementary Educators (NCAEE) is a non-profit corporation founded in September 2005. NCAEE’s mission is “to advance elementary education in the state of North Carolina.”

NCAEE was established to advocate for and to serve elementary-aged children and elementary educators. Membership is open to educators and everyone interested in the education of elementary-level children.

The highlight and pride of NCAEE is the Annual Elementary School Conference.  We will be celebrating our Fifth anniversary on October 26-28, 2008 at the new Raleigh Convention Center in exciting downtown Raleigh.

In just four years, the Elementary School Conference gained a reputation for providing a high-quality professional development experience for educators throughout North Carolina.  Elementary educators from around the state and beyond have dedicated themselves to presenting, attending, and networking at this conference.  We hope you will be among the 800+ participants attending this three-day conference.

As testimony to their belief in what elementary educators can accomplish when working together for the benefit of our children, the Board of Directors continues to cultivate the vision of NCAEE.  We invite you to join like-minded educators and explore possibilities for leadership roles for yourself in the association.  Joining now will make you eligible for a reduced conference registration fee.

Through your membership and active involvement, you can help determine NCAEE's future and have a positive impact on education at the elementary level in North Carolina.

I hope to see you at the Elementary School Conference in October!
